BANGLADESHI STUDENTS
The admission process for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Update Dental College & Hospital (UpDC&H) strictly follows the regulations set by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Admission policies and eligibility criteria are determined and updated by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW).
Students who achieve the government-designated minimum pass mark in the national Medical & Dental Admission Test are eligible to apply for admission to UpDC. After the official announcement of eligible candidates by the DGHS, admission forms will be available from the college office.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Must have passed qualifying examinations (HSC / ‘A’ Level) or equivalent.

Must have passed SSC / ‘O’ Level or equivalent examination.

Minimum aggregate GPA of 8.50 in SSC and HSC or their equivalents.

Minimum GPA in either SSC or HSC or equivalent: 4.0/ 5.0

Minimum GPA in Biology: 3.5 / 5.0
- Minimum GPA in other subjects 3.5/ 5.0
ADMISSION GUIDELINE FOR NATIONAL STUDENTS

Must pass the National Dental Admission Test with a minimum score of 40 (as per government policy).

Admission will be granted strictly on a merit basis according to the official list published by the DGHS.

FOREIGN NATIONALS – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

ADMISSION GUIDELINES FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS
All academic certificates must be attested by the Ministry of Education of the respective country and authenticated by the Bangladesh Mission abroad (or Foreign Mission based in Dhaka).
Applications must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka, through the Bangladesh Mission in the applicant’s home country.
Selected candidates must produce original academic certificates, mark sheets/transcripts, and a duly filled application form (available from the Bangladesh Mission) at the time of admission.
